I'm talking about Gosford Park. It shows just the way world should be: where ALL women wear bobs! You'll find all sorts of bobs, from blond and curly, to brown and wavy to straight...
A very satisfying film indeed!
I strongly recommend it if you haven't seen it already.

Yes, the McDonald one was my favourite! It is like I had my bob last year: heavy and swinging. It didn't last long though, my hair grows too fast!

As to the screen captures, I tried while watching it on my PC, but somehow I cannot manage to make it work. I was pausing the film, do a screenprint, then trying to save it in a word doc. It worked, but when stopping the DVD the pic in the word doc went blank. :-( The only other option is to take pics with the digital camera, but they are, obviously, of poor quality.
Do you have any technical suggestion?

That sounds very peculiar. You might be seeing the strange effects of how some hardware/software writes to the screen where the software sets a portion of the screen to an unusual color, then the hardware writes directly to the video card, but only where that color appears. A screenprint will only capture the special background color, not the DVD image.

Try looking in your DVD software for a "capture" function of some kind. It might be smart enough to actually grab the image off the DVD. Another possibility is changing how the image is being written to the screen. If there's some sort of hardware acceleration or direct-write option that can be turned off, turning that off might allow screenprint to work.

I'm using PowerDVD, which supplies a capture command where the 'C' key will put the image into the cut buffer or a file. It cost me forty or fifty bucks, too. I've used others, mostly free, that were useless for screen captures.

I'll second Gosford Park for lots of Bobs. And I LOVE (!!) Kelley Macdonald (also of Trainspotting fame). UNfortunately, although it's a very good movie, with lots of Bobs, I can't seem to watch more than about 10 minutes of it before I start wondering whether I should put on Terminator or Aliens. But that's just me.

I'm quite disappointed with myself for not putting up lots of Gosford Park Bobs. The best I can do is TV screen captures. Maybe if someone had it on DVD they'll donate a few nice stills. :)
